We continue to hear reports of email scams, such as “there has been a query regarding your HSBC bank account” and giving a link to a web site to follow this up.  A second claims to come from the Inland Revenue saying you are entitled to a refund on your P60, again giving a link to follow this up.  Your bank or the Inland Revenue would never contact you by email.  Never click on a link in an unsolicited email as you do not know where this may go. Never give out personal details, pin numbers, or passwords.  If in doubt, contact your bank, the government department using contact details given on genuine correspondence you may have.  If you are sure it is a scam contact Action Fraud.
