Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

The Bulwell Forest/Highbury Vale area has been subject to a number of recent shed breaks, which are predominantly happening overnight. The offenders appear to be targeting insecure outbuildings and forcing entry into weaker structures, and taking smaller and lower value items, and push bikes.
Please check the security of your property, ensuring adequate locks and lighting where necessary, and that items are security marked.
If you require any advice on marking your property please contact either PCSO 4754 POTHECARY on 07810505871, or PCSO 4668 BLISSETT 07595074210.

Opportunist burglars will also target properties that are easily accessible.  So please check that doors and windows are kept closed and locked when you leave your house or go to bed. With the warmer weather approaching don't leave ground floor windows open if you are not in the room, it is easy to get distracted and it will only take a few seconds for someone to reach in and take advantage.

If you see any suspicious behaviour then please report this on 101, the non-emergency number.
