Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Please be advised that we have taken a report from an elderly citizen in the Sherwood area who was charged £3000 by rogue traders to replace house cladding. It is quite possible that the same traders will target other vulnerable people in Sherwood and the surrounding areas. We are urging you to share this message and help spread the word. If you have elderly parents or neighbours, please take a moment to explain the dangers of rogue traders and the subsequent financial impact it can have. Please remain vigilant yourselves and look out for people who may be vulnerable; we don't want anymore people falling victim to these rogue traders. A report has been submitted to Action Fraud and Trading Standards are also aware of the incident. Please consider using '' for vetted and monitored tradespeople.
