Crime report for Ashfield South week to 9 March 2017

Crimes reported over the past seven days.
 
Burglary Dwelling.
None
 
Burglary Other
Between 5pm on Saturday 4 and 9.30am Sunday 5 March at the Allotment Gardens, Mansfield Road, Selston 5 sheds were broken into, not yet known if anything has been stolen.
 
At about 9.35pm on Tuesday 7 March in Watnall Road, Hucknall the Baptist Church was entered via a side door and a 36” monitor, speakers and a DVD player were stolen.
 
Sometime before 10am on Sunday 5 March in Papplewick Lane, Hucknall a garage door of a commercial property was smashed to gain entry. Not known if anything was stolen.
 
During the evening of Saturday 4 March in Quarry Dale, Annesley Road, Hucknall, a secure garage was entered and a push bike and some golf clubs were stolen.
 
As can be seen allotment sheds are being broken into and with the better weather coming there will be thoughts of gardening so please take care with securing your sheds and outhouses and not to make them an easy target for the thieves. Try not to leave expensive machinery in sheds on allotments.

Theft from a Vehicle
Between 5.30pm on Wednesday 1 and 6.45am Thursday 2 March in Papplewick Lane, Hucknall a Ford Transit Van parked on a driveway was entered and 2 rolls of lead, 2 pairs of lead cutters and a SatNav were stolen.
 
Between Midnight and 7am on Thursday 2 March in Alfreton Road, Underwood an Iveco Daily Van was broken into via the rear door and 5 cases of beef products were stolen.
 
Between 6pm on Wednesday 1 and 6.45am Thursday 2 March in Melbourne Street, Underwood a Silver Fiat Van was entered and a tool box in a briefcase containing sewing machine tools were stolen. 
 
I know it is an old chestnut but we make no apology in repeating the warning to everyone to make sure vans are kept as secure as you can and where possible remove valuable contents to a more secure location. Please also remind neighbours who have vans because they not be on our Alert system.
 
Theft
Between 4pm Thursday 2 and 12.45pm Friday 3 March in Upper Mexborough Road, Selston 5 marble figures were stolen from a front garden.
 
Between 5.46pm and 7.20pm on Wednesday 8 March a chained up black mountain bike was stolen from Hucknall Leisure Centre, Linby Road, Hucknall.
